David Eugene "Dave" Johnson, 58, of Oakwood, formerly of Hoopeston, passed away at 12:09 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at his home.
He was born Sept. 28, 1954 in Gallipolis, Ohio, son of Robert Johnson Sr. and Virginia Reynolds Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and an infant sister. He married Rhonda Ann Robling on Oct. 2, 1976 in Hoopeston. She survives.
He is also survived by a son, Chuck (Marci) Johnson; two daughters, Madonna (Rob) Wahlfeldt and Brandi (Jason Andres) Johnson Highfill; two brothers, Bob (Ruth) Johnson and Dusty (Nancy) Johnson; one sister, Robin (Jerry) Smith; one brother-in-law, Mike (Debbie) Robling; six grandchildren, Jordan and Chelsea Flint, Lexi and Luke Dice, Tate Johnson and Cody Highfill and several nieces and nephews.
