Nolan Johnson was born in Detroit, Michigan to Freddy Lee and Geraldine Johnson on July 25, 1973. Nolan attended Henry Ford High School.

He confessed his love for Christ at an early age of life at Wings of Truth Gospel Church.

He attended Second Chapel Hill Church and finally found his church home at Perfecting Church in Detroit.

Nolan was strong in his faith and was always giving glory to God.

Nolan was employed at Home Depot for five years. He was blessed with a handful of talent, which included a love for teaching ice skating to young children.

Coach Nolan Johnson has competed in ice skating in the Men's Novice Division and numerous competitions throughout the country. He has performed in Annual Ice Shows in Southfield, Michigan and performed as a guest soloist in other ice shows. Coach Johnson was involved in several activities throughout the metroploitan community. In his spare time, Nolan designed ice skating costumes, choreographed performances, and was an accomplished makeup artist.

On September 4, 2007, Nolan was called home. He leaves to mourn, his father, Freddy Johnson, a brother, Mark Johnson, sisters, Sherita Vallee, Page Ford and Porcha Johnson, and a host of loving relatives and friends.
