Esther Johnsen Gee, 76 died September 9, 1996, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born March 20, 1920 in Bluebell, Utah to Otto and Jorgine Johnsen. Married Max Lowry Gee in the Salt Lake Temple on October 4, 1937.

Active in the LDS Church, Esther served in many church positions in the ward and stake. She loved music, ceramics and helping others. She was an employee of Murray City for many years. She was the first switchboard operator for Murray City.

She is survived by her husband, Max; daughter and spouse: Karen and Scott Horman; she is also survived by her grandchildren: Chad, Derrik and Erika; one brother Otto and Hazel Johnsen, Murray; and one sister, Gudren Wathen (Lehi).

Preceded in death by a son, Curtis and two sisters, Martha Thorsen and Ruth Broadhead.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 12, at Memorial Estates Mortuary, 5850 So. 900 East, Salt Lake City, at 11 a.m. where friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 and Thursday one hour prior to services. Interment at Murray City Cemetery.
