Mrs. Clemmie Melton, 66, of Gabbettville, Ga., passed away early Monday morning, June 23. She is survived by her husband, Henry Melton; four sons: Clarence, of Cedartown, Ga.. Alvie, of Gabbettville, Edford, of Gabbettville, and Jewel, of Wadley, Rt. 1; four daughters: Mrs. Frances Smith, of Talladega, Mrs. Margaret Wilkinson, of Malone, Mrs. Alice Hester, of Malone, and Mrs. Lillar Mitchell, of Arkansas; 25 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; three sisters: Mrs. Lillar Taylor, of Malone, Mrs. Josie Walker, of Da-viston, and Mrs. Carrie Windsor, of Gadsden; and one brother, Pierce Johns, of Malone. Funeral services were held at S p. m. at Malone on June 24, with Rev. G. D. Hunt officiating. Interment was in the churchyard cemetery, with Quattlebaums Funeral Home in charge.
