Beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Coleen Eliason Johansen passed away peacefully at home in Heber City, Utah on Oct. 14, 2007 after a long struggle with Brain Cancer. Born on March 27, 1960 to Lincoln and Cleo Eliason, Coleen was raised in a large and loving family in Deseret, Utah.

She graduated from BYU with a degree in elementary education before marrying her husband, Keith Johansen, in the Manti Temple on August 1, 1986. A gifted teacher, she traded the profession for the higher calling of mother and found great joy and satisfaction in teaching her four children. Coleen was a devoted and loving wife and mother.

She enjoyed spending time with her family more than anything else she did, and was so proud of her children's accomplishments. Coleen was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and held many callings in the Relief Society, Young Women, and Primary auxiliaries. She had a profound influence on everyone she taught. She had a firm testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and was a perfect example of faith, obedience, perseverance, strength, and virtue. Coleen is survived by her husband, Keith, and her four children, Dallin Jay, Sarah Megan, Nathan Keith, and Aubrey Coleen. Dallin is currently serving an LDS mission in the Puerto Rico San Juan East Mission.

She is also survived by her mother, Cleo, of Deseret; and her brothers: Martin (Sally) of West Valley City; Tracy (Cheryl), Dixon (Laura), Brian (Gail), and Preston (Diedre) all of Deseret; and her sisters: Julia (Steve) Miner of Cedar City; Sylvia (Chance) Williams of Woodland Hills; Maria (Ron) Nordhagen of Pleasant Grove; and Tanya of West Jordan. She was preceded in death by her father, Lincoln Robison Eliason, and her younger brother, Justin Miles Eliason.

Funeral Services will be held Thurs. October 18, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Heber North Stake Center located at 521 E. 500 N., Heber City, Utah. Viewing will be held from 9:00-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the Stake Center, and on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. at the Timp Meadows Ward building located at 1365 East Center, Heber City, Utah.
Interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery.
