Beth Johansen Brower returned to her Father-in-Heaven Wednesday, Sept. 5, 1990, age 75, at her home in Cedar City, Utah, after a long battle with cancer.
She was born in Morrland, Utah Sept. 27, 1914, a daughter of Chris and Annie Hafen Johansen. Lived in Mt. Pleasant all her early life, attending grade school and graduating from North Sanpete High School. Married Stanley O. Brower July 11, 1936, Salt Lake City, Utah. Solemnized in the St. George Temple December 4, 1978. Moved to Las Vegas, Nevada with her husband in 1939, where they resided for 40 years. Retired and moved to Cedar City in April of 1979. Beth was a loving mother and grandmother, and was proud of her children's accomplishments. She loved to travel and learn of different cultures. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Survived by: Her husband, Stanley O. Brower, two children, Kay Rothman, Las Vegas, Nevada; Stanley Brower, and wife, Carol, of Chandler, Ariz.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jake Johansen, Murray, Utah; Ned Johansen, Ocean Grove, New Jersey; preceded in death by a brother, Auer.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Sept. 10, Cedar City 13th Ward. Burial at Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery also Monday, 4:30 p.m. Funeral directors, Southern Utah Mortuary, Cedar City.
