Phyllis Jessop was born March 5, 1907, the daughter of George Henry (Harry) Jessop and Francis Hannah Stephens.
On April 14, 1926, Phyllis and George Morgan Jenson were married in the Logan Temple. George was the son of James Jenson and Emma Maria Olson. He was born in Millville, where he attended school and worked on his father's farm.
In addition to farming, Morgan helped build most of the main roads in Cache Valley, using his team and wagon to haul dirt and gravel. He and his young family camped in Logan Canyon one summer while he worked on the highway through the canyon. He helped install the water system in Millville in 1936. He was employed by the State Fish and Game Department and was in charge of building the game fence.
Phyllis was employed at the knitting factory and later at the Bluebird Cafe and Woolworths. For many years she made and sold chocolates and wedding cakes from her home. Together they worked on the Old Folks Committee for forty years.
