Bea Carroll has written four books, toured more than 100 countries, earned two degrees, taught in South Africa as well as Los Angeles, Utah and Idaho, served as a social case worker, worked in the defense industry during World War II and established two foundations, -- one for scholarship, and one for the arts....

I'm interested in anything to do with people -- because what is there in life but people? she said...

Mrs Carroll and her husband, who has given her a rose on every day of their 36-year marriage, love the friendly, quiet atmosphere of Kaysville.

In 1946, she became the first and only Dean of Girls at Davis High School. In 1968, she was sent to South Africa as an exchange educator. She has traveled extensively worldwide with her husband, Cap.

As a writer, she has published magazine articles and poetry. She wrote a novel, "Maybe Tomorrow," which was published in 1991. Bea earned two degrees at Utah State University, Bachelors in English and Masters in Sociology.
