Violet Jernigan Andrus of Fort Worth died Monday at a Fort Worth hospital. She was 59.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at East Hills Church of Christ, 2225 Barron in east Fort Worth, where she was a member. Burial will be in Laurel Land Memorial Park. Arrangements are being handled by Gause Ware, Owens & Brumley Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Andrus was born in Seymour in north-central Texas and moved to the Fort Worth area as a child. She attended Diamond Hill-Jarvis High School in the 1940s.
One son, George A. Andrus, died in 1986.
Survivors include her husband, Edwin O. Andrus of Fort Worth; two sons, Leslie E. Andrus of San Diego, Calif., and John R. Andrus of Fort Worth; one daughter, Beverly J. Fritcher of Lillian in Johnson County; her mother, Johnnie L. Jernigan of Fort Worth; one brother, James L. Jernigan of Tucson, Ariz.; one sister, Christine Hudgins of Stephenville; and 14 grandchildren.
