She was born May 19, 1923 to Orson Theodore and Claris Pearl Wood Jenson.
She married Floyd Gordon Bills on July 15, 1944 and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.
Evelyn was extremely proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed being part of their lives and joining in accomplishments. She loved each and every one so very much.
Evelyn was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where she held many positions of service throughout her life. Evelyn and Floyd loved to travel and camp in their trailer. It was her favorite thing to do. She loved camping with her family and the fun trips taken with the "Bills family".
Evelyn was raised in Midvale, Utah and was a 1942 graduate of Jordan High School. She was very proud of being a Beetdigger. She was voted "Best Dressed" by the fellow members of her senior class. She continued contact with her high school friends the "lunch bunch" for sixty-plus years and cherished their friendship.
Evelyn is survived by her loving family: Roger and Judy Bills, Rodney and Karolyn Bills, and Rhonda Withers. She was blessed with eleven grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren with the twenty-third to join the family in September. She is also survived by her sister Beth Bills.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Riverton Ranch Ward Chapel, 13200 South 1400 West. Friends may call on Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Broomhead Funeral Home, 12600 South 2200 West, and Wednesday one hour prior to the services at the Church.
Interment: Riverton Cemetery.
