Henrietta came to America in 1863 with her parents, Severin and Sophia Magdalene Jensen, locating first in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, then in Nebraska in 1870, settling South of Goehner.
She married Andrew J. Anderson on June 26, 1886. They homesteaded South of Goehner. They had one daughter, Agnes (Mrs. Guy Cooper), and two sons, Walter and John.
After her husbands early and tragic death she remained on the home place. She lived on this farm 71 years.
Henrietta did a lot of charity work for her church and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. She helped organize the Goehner Homemakers Club in 1919, and was a charter member. With the help of her daughter, they were able to obtain the first female County Agent in Seward County.
