On October 10, 2010, Helen Pauline Reese Jensen of Cedar City, Utah accepted a calling to serve her Heavenly Father on the other side of the veil. Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, teacher, and beacon of light, was born on April 25, 1925 in Mr. Carmel, Utah to John Henry and Susanna Keller (Suzie K.) Reese.

In her new calling, Helen literally became the angel that she has figuratively been to all that have been blessed by knowing and loving her during her mortal life.

While faithfully serving her various callings upon this earth, Helen worked at Lunt's Hotel, Al's Bug Hut, Del Ray's Auto Body, the United States Forest Service, and managed her apartments for college students.

In her new calling, she has reunited with Roland, her dear husband of over 50 years; as well as her parents; her brothers John and Donald Reese; her sisters Kathy (William) Brinkerhoff, Elizabeth (Vern) Anderson, and Lila (Dallas) Anderson; and her grandchildren Kim Jensen, Jeanette Jensen, and Jarrett Jensen.

Helen faithfully served her earthly family during all of the days of her life. Those that remain behind include: her children Jerry (Elise Ence) Jensen of Enoch, Shirley (Gene) Mortensen of Parowan, Alma (Carolyn Cooper) and Robert (Rebecca Taylor) of Cedar City, and Dale (Mary Ann Bird) of Staunton, Virginia; her 21 living grandchildren; her 42 living great-grandchildren; and her siblings Nada (Elvon) Spencer of Glendale, Ruby (Jim) Swapp of Phoenix, Arizona, Annabelle (Max) Brinkerhoff of St. George, Clinton (Melba) of Corona, California, and Lawrence (Eleanor) of Kanab.

Please join us to honor her and celebrate her life, legacy, and accomplishments at a viewing to be held from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, October 13 at the Cedar City 2nd/8th ward LDS Church building located at 212 West 200 South. She will be further honored in another viewing at 10:00 AM and with services beginning at 11 AM on Thursday, October 14 in that same Church building.
