Dolores T. Jennings, nee Lercher, 72, of Belleville, IL, born July 27, 1935, in Belleville, IL, died Monday, March 31, 2008, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Belleville, IL.
Mrs. Jennings was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Belleville, IL. Dolores graduated from the Academy of Notre Dame in 1954. She was a member of the St. Teresa Catholic Church Perpetual Help Society and the Mother's Club at St. Teresa Grade School. For many years she volunteered as a room mother for all her children. She also spent a lot of time with her grandchildren at school events. Dolores enjoyed sharing her crafts with others. She was well-known for her famous homemade cashew clusters. Dolores took pride in her home and family. She loved the holidays and put effort into making them special for her family, especially Christmas. She always put everyone before herself.
Dolores was preceded in death by a son, Daniel G. Jennings; a son in infancy, Christopher M. Jennings;
and her parents, Louis J. and Margaret M., nee Eschenfelder, Lercher.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Attorney Robert Jennings, whom she married July 10, 1954;
three daughters and a son, Angela M. (David) Fellner, Judith A. Jennings, and John P. Jennings, all of Belleville, IL, and Mary M. (Lloyd) Volluz of Highland, IL; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Burial will be at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
