Emma Louise Jennings, 86, of the 6100 block of Tidewater Drive, a retired registered nurse, died Feb. 11, 1991, in her home.
Mrs. Jennings, a native of Long Branch, N.J., had retired from Tampa General Hospital, Tampa, Fla., after 20 years. She was the widow of Granville B. Jennings. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. She was a past high priestess of Ladies Oriental Shrine, Zulekia Court 35; past worthy matron of Old Dominion Chapter, Order of Eastern Star; past directress of Nosam Ive No. 8, Royal Order of Jesterettes; and a member of Faith Court 12, Amaranth and Scottish Rite Ladies, both in Newport News.
Survivors include a son, Granville Jennings Jr.; a brother, Harry L. Smith of Long Branch; and two grandchildren.
The funeral with Eastern Star rites will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Jim Bock. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery . Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
