Julie was born in Denver, Colorado and attended schools in Denver and Westminster, Colorado. Her parents moved to Pilger, NE. in 1977, where she finished her high school education.
She and Curtis moved to Columbus, NE and had made their home there.
She was killed in an early morning, car-train accident, on her way to work. Her children were 9 and 7 years old, at the time of her death.
