She was the wife of Merton James Gray.
She was injured Dec. 20 when the care she was driving collided with an oil truck on York Road four miles south of Idaho Falls. Officials reported that her car collided almost head on with the truck during a ground blizzard which limited the visibility.
She suffered apparent abdominal injuries and was admitted to the hospital at that time.
The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary two years ago.
She was born Dec. 13, 1999 at Portage, Utah, the daughter of Thomas Morgan Jenkins and Maria Elizabeth Johns Jenkins. When she was 6 years old, the family moved to Malad, and when she was 8 years old, they moved to Lincoln. She attended schools at Ammon and Iona.
She was a member of the LDS Church and was active in the Relief Society, and for several years was in charge of the sewing. She was also a Relief Society visiting teacher, and had taught Primary.
She had been active in cancer drives and Red Cross work.
She married Merton James Gray on October 15, 1919 at Oakland Valley, and the marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple two years later.
She is survived by her husband and the following sons and daughters: Leo Dean Gray, Nile Merton Gray, Mrs. Eldon (Velma Rose) Risenmay, Mrs. Robert (Shirley Ann) Barrie, all of Idaho Falls, Robert Glenn Gray of Nome, Alaska, 24 grandchildren and one brother, E. L. Jenkins, of New Sweden.
