Brooklet - Mrs. Linda P. Jenkins, age 48, died early Tuesday at her residence under the care of Vista Care Hospice. She was a native of Bloomingdale and moved to Brooklet 15 years ago and attended Immanuel Baptist Church. Mrs. Jenkins worked with Statesboro Transfer and Storage for 11 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a loving wife and mother.
Surviving are her husband of 20 years, Craig Jenkins of Brooklet; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Mike and Lora Helmly of Rincon and Clay Jenkins of Brooklet; her mother, Janie Pope of Brooklet, one sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Thomas Wiggins of Brooklet; one brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Holly Pope of Black Creek; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Clifford officiating. Burial will follow in the Immanuel Baptist Church Cemetery.
