Dwight E. Jenkins, age 69, formerly of Rector and Marmaduke, Arkansas, died on Friday, September 7, 2001, in Southgate, Michigan, after a long battle with cancer and other illnesses.
He was survived by his wife of 50 years, Nell Whitaker Jenkins; two sons: David Jenkins of Brighton, Michigan; and Dennis Jenkins of Glennie, Michigan; and siblings: George "Junior" Jenkins of Warren, Michigan; and Faye Metz of Jackson, Mississippi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Esther Jenkins, and his sister, Ophie Stokes.
Burial was on Tuesday, September 11, 2001, at the Michigan Memorial Cemetery in Flat Rock, Michigan.
