CARSON, MAXINE - 74, of Route 2, Oneida, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 1994, at U.T. Hospital in Knoxville. She was the daughter of the late TOM and LINA JEFFERS and was also preceded in death by two sisters, LENA JEFFERS and CORA JANE JEFFERS; and one brother, CLAIR JEFFERS. She was a member of the West Oneida Baptist Church. Mrs.. CARSON is survived by her husband, DAN CARSON of Oneida; one daughter, BECKY McELREATH and husband MIKE of Ocala, FL; one son, TOMMY CARSON and wife ANN of Oneida; three granddaughters, MICHELE McFADDEN of San Angelo, TX, and LAKEY TERRY and SARAH CARSON of Oneida; one grandson, DANNY McELREATH, who is a U.S. Army Ranger; three great-grandchildren, DARBY TERRY, JACOB TERRY, and REBECCA McFADDEN; a special niece, ANNA LOU YORK; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, June 1, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Jones and Son Funeral Home, with Rev. GUY AINSWORTH and Rev. PHILIP KAZEE officiating. Special music was provided by PHILIP KAZEE and the choir of the West Oneida United Baptist Church. Burial was in the Carson Memorial Park.
