VERA MAE JASON ALLEN, 58, was taken home by her Heavenly Father on Friday, February 8, 2008 at 6:00P.M.
A native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Ironton, La. and Natchitoches, La. since Hurricane Katrina. Daughter of the late Andrew Jason, Sr and Gertrude Hall Jason.
Devoted wife of Clyde B. Allen. Beloved mother of April and Jerome Allen. Grandmother of General, Jr., and Callie Encalade, Jahyira and Camaya Allen. Godmother of Hope Bell and Regan Allen. Future mother-in-law of General Encalade, Sr. Also survived by 4 sisters-in-law, 2 brothers-in-law, her extended families The Gibson's, The Trufant's, Martha Thomas, Gloria Green, Leomie Brooks and Minola Black and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of St. Paul Missionary B.C., Greater Morning Star B.C., St. Peter Baptist Church, Oakville Missionary B.C., Israelite Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of Natchitoches Nursing And Rehabilitation Center, East Natchitoches Dialysis and DCI are invited to attend the Funeral Service from St. Paul Missionary B.C., 133 Bradish St., Ironton, La. on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. Pastor Haywood Johnson, Jr. -Officating. (No Wake). Visitation from 8:30 A.M. until service time at the above named Church. Interment: Ironton Community Cemetery - Ironton, La.
