Mrs. Sarah Jarvis Brown, 39, of Mathews, died on Monday, October 18, 1965 in a Richmond hospital following a brief illness.
Mrs. Brown was a member of the Westville Baptist Church, and had been employed by the Mathews Post Office for the past 21 years.
She is survived by her husband, James H. Brown; a daughter, Miss Cynthia I. Brown; and her mother, Mrs. R. Emmett Jarvis; all of Mathews; and two sisters, Mrs. E.J. Brightwell of Richmond and Miss Kathryn Jarvis of Mathews.
Funeral service was held at 3:30 pm Wednesday at the Foster Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, conducted by the Rev. John F Layton, pastor of Westville Baptist Church. Burial was in the family cemetery.
