Mrs. T. E. Benge, who came to Wellington in 1902 with her husband, died in Fort Worth at 10:40 a.m. Tuesday, July 22.
Mr. and Mrs. Benge moved to Fort Worth 21 years ago, and he died in 1956.
Born in Murfreesboro, TN, she was the former Irene Jarman. She and Mr. Benge were married about 1900.
They operate the Palace Drug Store here for many years, first on the east side of the square, and later at the southwest corner in the small Building.
Mrs. Benge was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church and the Domestic Science Club.
Surviving Mrs. Benger are her son, Lester Benge of Fort Worth; two grandsons, Bill Benge of Fort Worth and A. J. Clower, Jr. of Fall Brook, CA; and three great-grandsons, Brooke and Bret Benge of Fort Worth and Craig Clower of Fall Brook.
Her daughter, Mrs. A. J. Clower, died a number of years ago.
