Brandon was born May 31, 1923, in Altoona, Iowa, to Edward Jaques and Ina Esther (Howard) Jaques. She graduated from East Des Moines High School in Iowa in 1941. During World War II, she worked in an office at Camp White in Medford. In the early 1950s, she worked at Grants Pass City Hall. On May 17, 1953, she married Paul Brandon, who died July 1, 2008. They owned Paul Brandon Gladiolus and worked on the gladiolus shows. She was office manager and delivered flowers to florist shops in Grants Pass and Medford.
She enjoyed visiting with her extended family and was a member of the Grants Pass Genealogical Society. She also was a seamstress and enjoyed quilting, clogging and crafts.
Survivors include a daughter, Emily Brock of Corrales; a sister, Gladys Mohler of Long Beach, Calif.; two granddaughters and two great-grandsons.
