Born on June 24, 1929 in Scranton, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Stanczyk) Janowski and lived in Monroe County since 1961.
Wanda was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Stroudsburg.
She is survived by three children, Catherine Barcafer and her husband, Phillip of Stroudsburg, Janet Veith and her husband, John of Spring, TX and Michael Chabal, Jr. and his wife, Kathy of Stroudsburg; six grandchildren, Ryan Barth, Cory Barth, Vanessa Veith, Aaron Chabal, Blaine Chabal and Cole Chabal; a brother, Joseph Janowski and his wife Eleanor of Allentown; a sister, Ceil Gorgol and her husband Joseph of Scranton; a special niece, Diana Redgil of Clarks Summit and several other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a nephew, Gary Chabal in October of 2012.
There will be a viewing from 11:00AM to 12:30PM Friday, March 8, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg. The funeral service will begin at 12:30PM Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Stroudsburg Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial remembrances be made to Monroe County Meals on Wheels, 9 North 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
