Indian Campaigns Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient. He served as a Corporal in the US Army in Company I, 5th US Infantry. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for action at Upper Washita River, Texas on September 9-11, 1874. His citation reads "Gallantry in action." (bio by: Don Morfe)
