Audene James Barnett, 77, of Batesville died Wednesday, March 31, 2010, in a Batesville hospital.
Born Feb. 6, 1933, at Elizabeth, she was the daughter of Delford and Eva Crotts James. She retired from GenCorp Automotive in Batesville. She enjoyed working in the yard and gardening. She was a member of Jubilee Family Church.
Survivors include a son, Oscar Brown of Sardis, Miss.; two daughters, Brenda Huff and Judy Watters, both of Locust Grove; three brothers, Wilb James and J.C. James, both of Elizabeth, and Rex James of Dolph; three sisters, Erma Barnett of Batesville, Betty Sanders of Dolph and Linda King of Marion; six grandchildren, Stephen Barnett and Melissa Barnett, both of Little Rock, Michael Huff of Lubbock, Texas, Christopher Huff and Ruthie Broadus, both of Batesville, and Mary Lochridge of Germany.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Carl Barnett; a son, Scotty Barnett; a brother, Bob James; and a great-grandson, James Michael Huff.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Jubilee Family Church with the Rev. Tony Hammack officiating. Burial will be in Lee's Chapel Cemetery in Sandtown under the direction of Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
Pallbearers will be Michael Huff, Chris Huff, Tommy Barnett, Cliff Barnett, Anthony Broadus and Ron Brown.
Honorary pallbearers are all doctors, nurses and staff at White River Medical Center in Batesville and the nurses and staff of Rolling Hills Nursing Center.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday.
Memorials may be made to White River Medical Center; St. Jude Children's Research Hospital; or Jubilee Family Church.
