He was retired from the U.S. Air Force with thirty years of service. He was a graduate of Van Buren High School Class of 1960.
He was preceded in death by parents, Hubert Lee & Gwyndolyn (Matthews) James and one daughter, Elke.
He is survived by his wife Franci James of Grand Forks, North Dakota; one daughter Michelle of Sarasota, Florida; one sister Lou Anne Lane & husband, Leroy of Fort Supply, OK; one brother Charlie James and his wife Betty of Van Buren; and five grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 7, 2012 at U.S. National Pavilion in Fort Smith with burial at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard.
Honorary pallbearers will be Van Buren High School Class of 1960.
