LUEDERS — Odean Jamar, 96, of Huntsville, Arkansas, formerly of Lueders, died Wednesday, July 26, 2006 in an Arkansas nursing home.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 30, 2006 at Kinney-Underwood Funeral Chapel with Leonard Dodgen officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Funston Cemetery under the direction of Kinney-Underwood Funeral Home.
Odean was born on June 27, 1910 in Santa Anna, the daughter of the late Charlie and Dela Williams Thompson. She married H.R. Jamar in Lueders. Together they farmed in the Lueders community for many years. They moved from Lueders in 1970 to Lake Fort Phantom. He died in 1973. She lived with various family members for many years until residing in a nursing in Huntsville, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one infant son; one daughter, Mary Worley; one grandson, Scott Jamar; two sister; and two brothers.
Surviving Mrs. Jamar are two daughters, Dorsie Wallace and husband Bill of Abilene, and Atha Eller and husband Franklin of Huntsville, Arkansas; two sons, Wayne Jamar and wife Jennifer of Granbury, and William Jamar and wife Lottie of Hawley; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
