Betty Jackson Jamar was born July 28, 1919 to proud parents, Brisco Jackson and Caldonia Jackson. She transitioned from labor to reward at her home in Madison, Alabama on Wednesday, May 9, 2012.
Betty confessed hope in Christ at an early age and was a member of the Big Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Jamar; children, J.D. Jamar, Caldonia Jones, Nellie Brice, Mercy Smith, James E. Jamar, Betty Ann Jamar, and Laura Bailey.
Betty leaves to cherish precious memories with her three daughters, Katherine J. Howard of Madison, Alabama, Annie McClain of Nashville, Tennessee, and Ethel Lee of Huntsville, Alabama; thirty grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the Big Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church (133 Maple Street; Madison, AL 35758) with Pastor Woodrow Kirby officiating. Interment will be in the Madison Memory Gardens. Mrs. Jamar will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.
A visitation with family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2012 at the Royal Chapel of Memories.
Public viewing will be from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2012; and from 8:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the Royal Funeral Home.
