Mary Jamar

Funeral services for Mary Jamar, 75, of Marble Falls will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 29 at Granite Mountain Baptist Church, 500 FM 1980, in Marble Falls, with Brother Ed Walker officiating.
The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service time. Serving as pallbearers are Jason Jamar, David Jamar, Zeb Shoen, Brandon Simpson, Brian Jamar, and Terry Bryan.
Mary passed away Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011 at her residence. Mary was born April 23, 1935 in a log cabin to James Daniel and Audie Mae Friar Hitchcock. She was the eldest of eight children, and was an avid 42 player and George Jones fan. Mary trained waitresses at the Barn and Nighthawk in Austin, and she and her husband Jack Dean Jamar owned several restaurants. She recently won second place in a chili cookoff. Mary loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband, Jack Dean Jamar, and survived by sons, Jerry Dean Jamar and wife, Cindy Louise Jamar, Hollis Lee Jamar and wife, Melissa Jamar, grandchildren, Jason Jamar, Amanda Jamar, David Jamar, Samantha Jamar, Brandon Simpson, Brian Jamar, a growing number of great grandchildren, and siblings, Altha Hertel, Dorthy Raschke, Sonny Hitchcock, Jenetta McNabb, Shirley Hitchcock, and Calvin Hitchcock.
