PATSY RUTH JAMAR

Patsy Ruth, four year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Jamar, 74 South Fourteenth Street, died of diphtheria Friday evening at Lamar hospital.

Funeral service of which Brown-Roden Funeral Home had charge, was conducted Saturday morning at Rockford community church by the Rev. Raymond Smoot of Emmanuel Baptist Church and burial was made at Rockford cemetery.

Surviving besides the parents are these brothers and sisters: Robert Jamar of Sulphur, Okla.; Jack, Pauline, Johnnie Jo, Billie Jean, and Mary Frances Jamar, all of Paris; and three grandparents, Mrs. Cora Cox of Paris and Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Legate of Sulphur, Okla.

Among the first of Paris' "New Citizens" arriving in 1935 was Patsy Ruth, daughter born January 9 to Mr. and Mrs. Bill Jamar at 321 Moore street, near East Austin. The family lives now at the corner of Orange and South Seventeenth street.
