Mayme was a person who loved unconditionally and saw something good in everybody. She was kind to everyone she met. She was still talking about Jesus and quoting scripture even in her last days in the hospital.

She loved being a homemaker, she loved cooking, canning, keeping her home clean, and gardening. She would spend her summers canning large amounts of vegetables from their beautiful garden. Her favorite things to can were, Kentucky Wonder Pole Beans, wild blackberry jam, peach and plum preserves. She absolutely loved her blackberry jam on her homemade biscuits, as did everyone she shared them with. She worked hard most of her life, and she loved flower gardening. She grew beautiful flowers, but wild flowers were her favorite.
