WALNUT - William Joseph "Bill" Jacquinot, 64, of Walnut died at 10:06 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, in the emergency room at Labette Health. His death was not expected.
He was born on Feb. 19, 1943, at Walnut to Leonard Eugene and Susanna Marie (Smith) Jacquinot. He was raised in Walnut, where he attended school.
In 1974, he moved to West Virginia, where he married Shirley Ann Richmond. They later divorced. He continued to live in West Virginia, where he farmed, until returning to Walnut in 2006.
He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church at Walnut. While living in West Virginia he was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia Kitner of Bunker Hill, W.Va.; two sons, Michael Jacquinot of Temple, Ga., and Kevin Jacquinot of Bunker Hill, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Stephen Kitner, Tyler Kitner, Jacob Jacquinot and Ryan Jacquinot, all of Bunker Hill, W.Va.; three brothers, Bernard Jacquinot of Overland Park, Ken Jacquinot of Parsons and Pat Jacquinot of Walnut; and a sister, Marilyn Colegrove of Walnut.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Joseph Eugene Jacquinot and Leonard Paul Jacquinot; and a grandchild, Nathaniel Jacquinot.
The funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Walnut with the Rev. Theodore Khin officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the church, after which family will receive friends. The casket will remain at Carson-Wall Funeral Home in St. Paul until 5 p.m. Monday, when it will be moved to the church.
The family suggests memorials to St. Patrick's Cemetery, and these may be left at the funeral home.
