Lena Carlson
Drummond--Mrs. Lena Carlson, 92 Drummond, died Tuesday at a Washburn rest home.
She was born at Bessaker, Norway, on May 5, 1879. She came to the United States after her marriage to Albert Carlson at Bessaker, Norway. They lived in Drummond till 1916. They then moved to Sweden, Wis. on a small farm. In 1952 they built a home at Drummond and Mrs. Carlson has resided there since.
She was a member of the Drummond Lutheran Church. Her husband, Albert, died in October 1953.
She is survived by one son, Arnold Carlson, Ashland; one daughter, Mrs. Elner (Nora) Peterson, Drummond; one sister, Mrs. Ilina Lothe, Bessaker, Norway; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will take place at the Drummond Lutheran Church at 2 PM Thursday, with Rev. Joseph Jenkins officiating. Burial will be at the Drummond cemetery.
Friends may call at 6 PM Wednesday (today) at either the Gildersleeve Roberts Funeral Home, Ashland, or at the church from 1pm until the hour of Service Thursday
