A native of Russia, she came to this country as a child, settling in New Leipzig, N.D. with her family.
She married Peter Christman in February, 1909. In 1921, the family moved to the Victor area, where they owned a vineyard for many years. Mr. Christman died in April, 1952.
Mrs. Christman was a longtime member of the Salem United Methodist Church and was active in the Martha Circle for many years.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Pauline Melchert of Lathrop, Mrs. Lydia Wilburn of Modesto and Mrs. Frieda Hemmingway of Tule Lake; three sons, Walter H. Christman of Galt, Henry Christman of Lodi and Raymond Christman of South San Francisco; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Gierhart & Wells Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Grelich of the Salem United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Lodi Memorial Cemetery.
