b. 7 August 1915, Nashville, TN – d. 25 August 2000, Putnam Co., TN, md Edward "Ed" Hogin Hooper, b. 15 September 1913, Dickson, TN d. 27 May 2000, Putnam Co., TN, s/o James Montgomery Hooper & Elizabeth Sue Hogin. Frances (Jacobs) Hooper, d/o James Madison Jacobs & Hattie Acklen.

COOKEVILLE Funeral services for Frances Jacobs Hooper, 85, of Cookeville will be held today, Sun., Aug. 27 at 3 p.m. from the chapel of Hooper and Huddleston Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Cookeville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends today at the funeral home from noon until the time of services.
She was dead on arrival at Cookeville Regional Medical Center on Friday, Aug. 25, 2000.
She was born Aug. 7, 1915, in Nashville to the late James Madison and Hattie Acklen Jacobs. She was a graduate of Hume Fogg High School and Falls Business College and was active with the Girl Scouts. She was also a charter member of Town and Gown, an organizing member of the Welcome Wagon and an attendee of Collegeside Church of Christ. She was a member of the Symphony Guild and was active in the
Mother's March of Dimes.
Her family includes two daughters and sonsinlaw, Harriet Sue and Phil Hall of Cookeville and Helen Ann and Harry Ward of Nashville; four grandsons and one grand daughterinlaw,Philip Edward and LeeAnn Hall and Reginald Hooper Hall, all of Cookeville, and Harry Hobgood Ward, Jr. and Andrew Hooper Ward, both of Nashville.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hooper was preceded in death by her husband, Edward "Ed" H. Hooper, who died on May 27, 2000.
