Husband of Sarah 'Sadie' Miller Jacob.

Note: a prior Evergreen cemetery transcription had the surname as "Jacobs". The obituary and headstone are "Jacob", however.

That said, the obituary has the DOB year as 1858 while the headstone is 1859. Sigh.

DAVID JACOB DIES AT 81

Had been residents (sic. resident) of this city since 1908; services Saturday

David M. JACOB, 81, resident of this city since 1908, passed away at the Jefferson county hospital this morning. He had been at the hospital since Wednesday.

Mr. JACOB was born on Feb. 18, 1858 (sic. headstone engraved DOB year is 1859) in Ohio and came here from Burlington in 1908.

He is survived by a son, Ralph, of Davenport; a brother, Robert, of Paris, Missouri, and a sister, Mrs. Mellie HOLLEY of Wapello.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Hoskins funeral home in charge of the Rev. W.R. Yingling. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.
