Kernersville - Pauline Wilma Jackson Atkins passed away at GrayBrier Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on July 25, 2010 after an extended illness.

The graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. at Westminster Gardens Cemetery, 3601 Whitehurst Road, Greensboro.

She was born in Surry County, NC, daughter of the late Stonewall and Lester Mae Jackson. She was a member of 'The Writers' Group of the Triad and was published in "Candle in the Attic" in 2001.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Ralph Atkins and parents.

She is survived by her brothers, Lindy Jackson and Hubert Jackson, and her sister, Gloria Wright. She is also survived by her children: Samantha Atkins, Nick Atkins, David Atkins, Dianne Keel, and Keith Atkins; her grandchildren: Alexander Atkins, Elizabeth Atkins, Nick Atkins, Jr., Ray Atkins, Evie Atkins, Mandy Atkins, Josh Hurley, Brittany Spencer, Sophia Atkins, and Phoebe Atkins, and her great-grandchildren: Pressley Walters, Anna Spencer, and Wyatt Hurley. In addition, she leaves behind many dear friends.

A one-hour visitation will be held prior to the service at Hanes Lineberry N. Elm Chapel, 515 N. Elm Street Greensboro at 2:30 p.m. Online condolences may be made @ www.haneslineberryfuneralhomes.com.
