Services for Mrs. Freddie Lee Scarborough will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at St. John Methodist Church in DeSoto with the Rev. George Price officiating. Burial will be in Archusa Memorial Gardens in Quitman with Enterprise Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Scarborough, age 80, of Quitman, died Friday, March 9, 2001, in her home. She was the daughter of Delaney and Clayton Jackson and was born on August 17, 1920, in Elkhart, IN. Mrs. Scarborough was a member of St. John's Methodist Church in DeSoto and a former member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Irvington, NJ. She was also active in several church groups.

Survivors include her husband, Archie J. Scarborough; a daughter, Elizabeth Middleton Johnson; a son, Ralph C. Middleton; two stepsons, Napoleon Scarborough and Archie Scarborough Jr.; five grandchildren, Kendall C. Johnson, Stephannie L. Johnson, Anthony L. Johnson, Mark Middleton and Rodey Middleton; two great-grandsons, Christopher J. Johnson and Anthony Middleton; three brothers-in-law, a son-in-law, a sister-in-law and several nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be Thursday one hour prior to the service at the church.
