Services for Esther Joiner Jackson, 73, Dupee Street, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Street Baptist Church with the Rev. C.E. Timberlake officiating.
Burial will be in Cave Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 until 5 p.m. Sunday at Gamble Funeral Home.
She died at 12:51 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, of natural causes.
A native of Christian County, she was born July 16, 1937, the daughter of the late Theodore and I.V. Kennedy Joiner.
She was a cook and aide and had worked at Let's Go Play Child Daycare.
She was also a retired as a state guardian for the Christian County Day Treatment Center for Boys and was a member of First Street Baptist Church, where she had served on the usher board, was a member of the mass choir and was a member of the District Ushers.
Survivors include a daughter, Taffye Marshall, Floresville, Texas; two sons, Bobby James, Nashville, Tenn., and Sidney Jackson, Hopkinsville; two brothers, Phil and Theodore Joiner Jr., both of Hopkinsville, and two sisters, Helen Greenwade, Pittsburgh, and Delores Manson, Chicago.
