Widow of Matt Cavaness Dies In California
Laura Emma Jackson Cavaness
(January 13, 1869-January 1, 1964)
Word has been received here of the death of Mrs Laura Cavaness, widow of Matt Cavaness for whom a street in the Barnette Addition was named, which occurred January 1 in San Diego. She was 95 years of age. Mrs Cavaness lived in Wickenburg for many years before moving to California.
Five children survive. They are Mrs Mattie Hann, Mrs Dorcas Graham and Mrs Maude Clark, all of San Diego; Dan Cavaness of Flagstaff and Davis Cavaness of Culver City, Calif. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren.
