Ida Belle Jackson, loving widow of Thomas Ralph Jackson, passed away on January 5, 2010 at her daughter's home in Columbia, SC. The Jackson's were married for 61 years.
She was born November 26, 1914 in Fayetteville, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Rufus and Arrie Butler of Fayetteville, Georgia. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church for 80 years.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Merrell and Marvin Butler and her sisters Hazel Davenport, Addie Oakley and Francis Phillips. She is survived by her daughter, Juanita and her husband Jim Hudgins of Columbia, SC; brother, Everett Butler; sisters Evelyn Phillips, Dot Milam, Jean Mitchell and Charlotte Bray; grandchildren, Keith Hudgins and his wife Jennie of Columbia, SC, Tammy Sharp and her husband Drummond of Rock Hill, SC; great grandchildren, Thomas Hudgins of Clemson University, Martha Hudgins of Columbia, SC, Madison, Anna, Henry and Campbell Sharp of Rock Hill, SC.
Funeral services will be held at New Hope Baptist Church, Fayetteville, Georgia at 11 o'clock on Saturday, January 9, 2010 with Dr. James L. Hudgins and Dr. Ike Reighard officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 57 Mallory Road, College Park, Georgia. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Parrott Funeral Home and Crematory, 8355 Senoia Road, Fairburn, GA, 770-964-4800.
