Elizabeth "Ann" Groover, age 81 of Elwood, died Saturday, July 28, 2012 at her residence in Elwood following an extended illness. She was born November 27, 1930 in Tipton County, the daughter of Charles Lemuel and Katherine (Stokes) Jack. She was a Homemaker most of her life, and formerly worked at Fettig's Canning Factory, Haynes-Stellite Corporation, and French's Restaurant in Elwood. She was a 1949 graduate of Windfall High School. She married Virgil Gene Robinson in 1949, and he died in 1954 at a very young age. Ann later married William E. "Bill" Groover on May 31, 1957. She was a member of the New Beginnings Fellowship Church in Elwood. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and cooking for her family.

She is survived by 4 children, Tom (wife Cheryl) Robinson of Noblesville, Kathy (husband Greg) Tenbrook of Tipton, Chuck Groover of Elwood, and David Groover of Long Beach, CA; brother, Lemuel Charles (wife "Boots") Jack of Somerset; 4 grandchildren, Jason Groover, Kristina (husband Anthony) Payton, Gary (wife Jessica) Tenbrook, and Elizabeth Tenbrook; 2 great-grandchildren, Jack Henry Payton and Jacob William Tenbrook; 2 sisters-in-law, Ethelda Rieman of Elwood and Claribell Groover of Elwood; and several nieces and nephews.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Virgil Gene Robinson in 1954; second husband, William E. "Bill" Groover in 2010; and sister, Rosemary Jack.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood. Burial will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery in Elwood. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are requested to the New Beginnings Fellowship Church through the funeral home.
