Mrs. Bernita Mae Ison Ball, age 62, passed away suddenly on Sunday September 30, 2007 at the Morgan County Appalachian Regional Hospital in West Liberty, Kentucky.

She was born on May 19, 1945 in Ashland, Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by her Father; Rev. Mart Ison.

She is survived by her Husband of 45 years Roger Ball and her Mother; Rosie Dulin Ison. Bernita & Roger was married on April 14, 1962 and were blessed with 2 Sons; Roger Dean and Angie Ball of West Liberty, Kentucky and Timothy Grant and Taretha Ball of Morehead, Kentucky. She is survived by three Special Grandchildren; Kaleb Grant, Rebecca Elizabeth & Timothy Kyler Ball. Bernita was the middle child in a family of 9 children and she is survived by 4 Sisters and 4 Brothers; Minnie Arnett and Lorene Trimble of West Liberty, Kentucky Boyd & June Ison of Paris, Kentucky, Bob & Rebha Ison of Springfield, Ohio, Donna Sue & Russell Burgett of West Liberty, Kentucky, Troy Ison ,West Liberty, Kentucky, Cortis & Linda Ison and Debbie & Billy Nickell of West Liberty, Kentucky. She is also survived by a Special Aunt; Jenny Ball and a very Special Friend; Phyllis Caskey.

Bernita was saved in her early teenage years and was a member of the Lick Branch Enterprise Baptist Church and her second home church was the Martha Enterprise Baptist Church.

Bernita was employed in her earlier years at Don's Restaurant and has been an Employee of the Morgan County Board of Education for 24 plus years as a Para- Educator.

She was a faithful and loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother (nan) and Friend to all who knew her. For all those who were not personally acquainted with her, she could be remembered from having her candy booth(The Sweet Tooth) of 37 years at the Sorghum Festival.

She will be sadly missed by her family and friends and all who knew her, but our loss is Heaven's gain.

Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, 11:00 AM October 3, 2007 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Rev. Rick Pelfrey & Rev. Eugene Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow with Interment in the Ball Family Cemetery on Old House Branch Rd in Elkfork, Kentucky.

The Family of Mrs. Bernita Mae Ison Ball will be receiving Friends for visitation at 6:00 PM, Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home in West Liberty, Kentucky.

Pallbearers: Tim Conley & Mitchell O'Neal and Nephews.
