Vera Cele Barrett, 92, of Tifton, died Friday, April 28, 2006 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 1, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. L Layfield will officiate with burial to follow at Hickory Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Ms. Barrett was born on February 2, 1914 in Marion County and was the daughter of Arthur Tom Isom and Annie Anthony Isom, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Jefferson Barrett and a great grandchild, Chastity Willis. She was a farmer's wife and a member of New River Baptist Church.
