Loveona Ashlock, 90, a long-time Sand Springs resident entered into the presence of her Lord in Tulsa on Thursday, July 15, 2010. She was born on June 5, 1920, in Tulsa, OK, one of four children born to Charlie Isaacs and Louella (Ratliff) Isaacs. Loveona married Thomas J. Ashlock in St. Louis, MO, in May of 1940 and they had celebrated over sixty-seven years of marriage prior to his death on February 13, 2008. She was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She and Tommy were members of Lakeside Church of Christ in Sand Springs for many years. Loveona loved to sing and she sang in several groups, including the Sweet Adelines, and several church quartets. While living at Greentree Living Center in Sand Springs, Loveona was an active part of the Greentree Gang Rythm Band Ensemble, which she loved to participate in. She had also been a member of the Sand Springs Garden Club in the past. Survivors include three sons, Gene Ashlock and wife Judy of North Richland Hills, Texas, Jerry Ashlock and wife Challa of Tulsa, and Arthur Ashlock and wife Lynn, also of North Richland Hills, Texas, six grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, other family members and a host of friends. Preceding her in death were her husband, Tommy, her parents, a sister, OnaLee Larremore, and two brothers, Edwin Isaacs and Charles Isaacs. Visitation will be Saturday, July 17, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Sunday, July 18, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The family will be greeting friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 19, 2010 at Lakeside Church of Christ, 619 N Woodland Drive in Sand Springs with Mickey White officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Memorial Park in Sand Springs under the direction of Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service.
