Mildred R. Irwin Endress, 90, of Seger, died Friday, March 14, 2008, at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. The daughter of Albert P. and Charlotte A. Lukehart Irwin, she was born Dec. 27, 1917, in Black Lick. Mrs. Endress was a member of Hebron Lutheran Church, Blairsville, the Daughters of Hebron and the Jewel bowling league in Latrobe. She worked as an aide for 25-1/2 years at Torrance State Hospital, retiring in 1979. Surviving are two sons: George L. and wife Phyllis, Blairsville, and Richard D., Seger; two daughters, Bonnie Bukoskey, Seger, and Sondra Pallottini and husband Louis, Derry; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Endress, in 1988; seven brothers: George, John, Clyde, Dale, Merle, Elden and Bert; and two sisters, Grace Squibbs and Dorothy Newell. Friends were received at Shoemaker Funeral Home, Blairsville, where funeral services were conducted Monday with the Rev. Beverly J. Banyay officiating. Interment was in Blairsville Cemetery.
