Dorothy C. Innis (nee Domas), age 86, a resident of Ingleside for over 50 years formerly of Round Lake died on September 30, 2008 at Victory Memorial Medical Ctr. in Waukegan, IL. She was born on September 5, 1922 in Chatanooga, TN to Alonzo and Mary Domas (nee Pilkinton).
Dorothy was a member of St. Bede Catholic Church in Ingleside and a former member of their Altar and Rosary Society. She and her late husband had been active in his union activities and they had celebrated 59 years of marriage together. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, taking care of her yard and gardening. But her favorite enjoyment in life was spending time with her friends, her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Ronald (Cheri) Innis of Danville, IN, Patrick (Willa) Innis of Fox Lake, Michael "Mickey" Innis of St. Petersburg, FL; her grandchildren, Scott and Jeffrey Innis both of Oklahoma City, OK; Kristine (Jacob) Judd of Antioch, Karen Innis of Fox Lake and Kelly (Shawn) Divoky of Johnsburg; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Caitlyn, Payton, Kaden and Brynn; her daughter-in-law and life-long friend, Phyllis Innis of Round Lake; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William in 2004; by her son, Steve Innis in 2003; and by a brother, Daniel Domas.
Visitations will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, October 3, 2008 at the K.K. Hamsher Funeral Home, Ltd., 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd, Fox Lake, IL (1 block west of Rte.12,½block north of Grand). Leaving funeral home Saturday at 9:15 A.M. to St. Bede Catholic Church in Ingleside for Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, IL.
