Margie Ann Byrom, 89, of Gatesville, passed away, surrounded by her family, Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, at Hay Valley Baptist Church with the Rev. Keith Dyer, the Rev. Barry Bishop and the Rev. Doug Bates officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Gatesville Funeral Home.

Margie Ann was born in Waco, Texas, to the late Lee and Nancy Mullens Ingram. She grew up in Crane, Texas, and graduated from Gatesville High School in 1939. She married Cloyce Byrom on July 8, 1939. They resided all their married lives here in Gatesville. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge for many years. She worked for the Gatesville State School for Boys and TDCJ, retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Hay Valley Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher and Treasurer for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cloyce Byrom in 1974; and a son, Wendell Cloyce Byrom Sr. in 1981.

She is survived by daughters, Beverly Langston and husband, Herman, of Granbury, Judy Pruitt and husband, Jackie, of Gatesville, and Sherri Gotcher and husband, Glen, of Ft. Worth; son, Billy Paul Byrom, of Gatesville; 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Ingram and wife, Susan, of Cordova, Tenn.; and many other family members and friends.
