Vivian O. Buck, 92, passed away at 2:40 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2007, in Rehab and Care Center of Jackson County in Murphysboro.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2007, in Pettett Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ted Mayes officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park. Friends may call from noon to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Murphysboro.
Vivian was born on Oct. 28, 1914, in Murphysboro, to Andrew C. Imhoff and Laura Belle (Connelly) Imhoff.
She had worked for many years at the former Brown Shoe Co. in Murphysboro and had been a member of the Brown Shoe Rippers Softball Team.
Mrs. Buck was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Murphysboro.
She married Arnold Buck on Jan. 31, 1953, in Murphysboro, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 29, 2004.
Vivian was preceded in death by one sister, Millicent McManus; and six brothers, Fred, Joe, Ray, Tedford, Monte, and William Edward Imhoff.
She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Rena Maloney of Carbondale and Blanche Imhoff of Murphysboro; four nieces and their families, Jane Farris of Albuquerque, N.M., Kate Borgsmiller of Carbondale, Marilyn Willis of Oraville, and Connie Fielding of Granite City; one great-nephew Mark Imhoff; three first cousins and their families, Gladys Bitner of Murphysboro, Leona Crowell of Du Quoin, and Margaret Benton; and best friends and neighbors, Bob and Norma Tucker of Murphysboro.
